The Unforgotten Trip

One day I went with my classmates a trip to “Wild Wadi” which is a theme park in Dubai. It is known as one of the biggest theme park on the region and the Middle East.
We left the collage at 8 early morning and we reach there after two hours of driving. We left by bus and spend all the time singing and making fun out of each other. We were around 30 students and teachers. Ones we reached there we changed our outfits and went to swim. We played almost all the games they have out there. The funniest part of this trip was one of my friends was fat and some of the games is specified for thin people but when my friends and I entered that game my fat friend was jealous because he could not come with us and we were laughing at him. Then he became angry and entered the game without anyone’s notice. The problem is this game uses water to push the players to the main lake but when the turn comes to my fat friend the water pushed him but he got stuck on the middle of the swing tube. We couldn’t stop laughing at him and all people were watching him and started laughing too. Then the swim helpers forced the players to stop and go back where we started the game. And every one was pissed off because we waited a long queue to enter this game. After that they stopped the game and helped our fat friend. He was scared and nervous.
We spend around six hours playing. Then we ate lunch and went home. It was a fantastic trip and I will never forget this trip because it was very enjoyable and funny at the same time.

The Importance of Computers

Nowadays computers are every where. Computers made our life simple, easy and fast. Without computers life would be difficult like the olden days. Computers help people to connect to each other either by email, chatting or video conferencing. Without computer people can’t get all the new technology or electronics. Because every thing now made by the help of computers. If anyone go to an electronic factory or automobile industries you will notice that not only human are working but also robots. I don’t mean human robot but helping robots. And all of that are controlled by computers.
In the olden days people used to store all the work in paper. This will take a lot of space to handle. At the same time it is not safe for the environment because papers are made from trees. But now by just a click of a button it will save the work or document inside the computer in just a simple and a fast way. Even if you want to review it again, the only thing you need is a click of a button.
As I mentioned before computer are every where. Computers are in schools, collages and work. Any one can buy it because its affordable to every one. Some people use it for work some use it for entertainment and many many more. Even nowadays restaurant waiters use it to take orders of costumers which save time.
There are several kinds of computers such as: desktop or laptop or pocket PC or mobile computer. Day by day computer is getting smaller and more portable and cheaper. And one day computer will take the place of the TV, DVD, radio and audio systems.

Global Warming. Task 7

The Planet Earth is the home of all living creatures. We as human beings, the more we live the more danger we face on this planet. The problem is, all people around the globe are doing their best to survive. But sometimes it leads to critical problems that destroy our planet. This essay talks about what mankind have done to planet earth and the consequences of global warming in recent history.

Population growth is a serious dilemma that is growing every year, every minute, and every second. It is the root of most, if not all, of the world’s problems and it is the major global problem due to several reasons. Most of the problems we have today, such as food and water shortages, air and water pollution and global warming are the effects of overpopulation. The more people there are, the more resources consumed and the more waste created(Global Issues).

Deforestation is another serious problem we face in the world. Many people are still unaware of the impact this will cause. Forests act as a major carbon store because carbon dioxide (CO2) is taken up from the atmosphere and used to produce the carbohydrates, fats, and proteins that make up the tree(The Independent). Then trees will be burnt and it will release CO2 which is the main supplier to the greenhouse effect. Forests are the home to millions of creatures and it acts like a filter for the entire planet(Marketing).

Pollution whether it is air or water it is a problem that everyone should be concerned about. The increase of the automobile, factories and burning garbage in open dumps are more and more threatening the greenhouse effect and the Ozone layer. People all around the world are exposed and are at risk to many diseases, such as skin and lung cancer.

In conclusion, the world is going to the opposite direction. People are exploiting the resources in a surreal way. Countries with high population should apply a regulation or a law to their citizens to sustain the growth.
In my opinion, the most satisfactory solution for the environmental pollution is to build cool cities. Another solution is to encourage automobile manufacturers to produce electricity or steam powered cars and motorbikes instead of fossil fuel. Last but not least, persuade factories and industrial plants to use alternative energy that doesn’t harm the environment.

Masdar City

Cool Cities

Global warming is increasing day by day. One of the solution of this crisis is building cool cities. Therefore, Abu Dhabi wants to be the first in building such cities. It is called Masdar City "The source". It uses alternative resources that have harmless impacts on the planet. It is to be occupied for around 50,000 people by 2014. However, is building these cities practical or not? that is the question.

The goal of cool cities is to make the whole world population live in a cool cities that to be built all around the world by the year 2050, which in my opinion it is extremely hard to achieve. That is because of two main reasons. The first one is the cost of these cities, not all cities around the world can afford the cost of it. Seeing as Masdar city will cost around $22b (Gulf News).

Secondly, the Population growth is to be concerned. That is because it is soaring sharply and studies say that by 2050 the world population will hike to around 10b. By this figure about 200,000 cool cities must be built to occupy this population.

In conclusion, cool cities is truely a good idea to cut greenhouse-gas emissions. However, I don't agree with the facts that say: by 2050 all people around the world will live in cool cities. In my opinion it is impractical to say such a thing. Instead of wasting multi billion dollars spent in each cool city, they would rather spend it in solving the world biggest crisis "Global warming".

Carbon Footprint Task

Carbon Footprint is the sum of all emissions of CO2 (carbon dioxide) and other greenhouse gases, which were induced by the human activities in a given time frame. Therefore, it is one of the main factors that causes global warming. In this essay I will illustrate and make a comparison between my classmates' footprint and mine.

Numerous websites were published to calculate the carbon footprint. Therefore I calculated mine using two websites. The first website was footprint.wwf.org.uk and my result was 12.39 (WWF). Whereas, in myfootprint.org website my carbon foot print was 19.3 so my average is 15.85. Both websites were asking about four categories of human activities:food, travel, home and staff.

We were asked to compare our averages between three of my classmates. Therefore, our results were almost the same with some slight differances. However, comparing to our country's average 31.48 gha(What it measures), our results are far too low.

In conclusion, there are many ways that reduces the carbon footprint from each one of us such as: use cleaner transport, add energy-saving features to our home and Adopt energy and water-saving habits. By doing these simple things we would save alot of our effort of the near future dilemma.

Arguments about "An Inconvenient Truth"

“An Inconvenient Truth” is a wonderful documentary done by Al Gore about global warming. In this task I am going to talk about two reviews one negative and one positive about the movie.

The first negative review of the movie is that Al Gore tried his best effort in this movie to advertise himself to be a part of the next North American election to the White House (Justin).
Secondly, the real problem with the film are the cut away scenes. Al Gore has taken acting lessons and it's noticeable (Justin). He looks fake and inorganic. It was like a powerpoint presentation that made Al Gore famous again.

On the other hand, the positive review shows that the film gives a very interesting view on global warming (Sam). The issue of global warming have came up a number of times in the past and is a matter of great controversy (Sam). Global warming is a issue that are believed by many scientists to be caused by solar ray, volcano, and other factors that really have nothing to do with human input of carbon dioxide.

In my point of view the movie is a very clear and heartfelt documentary that really shows and educates the entire world about global warming and how could we interact with this crises. After watching this documentary I really feel that global warming is a crisis which not only affects the environment but also effect all the living creatures in our Planet.

Global Waming Video

Introduction to The Global Warming

Global Warming is one of the most serious problem that faces the human history. It means: the increase in the temperature of the oceans and the earth near surface air. It has started since the industrial revolution began. All the toxic gases which were produced by factories and vehicles increase the temperature and couses the ice on the north and south poles to melt. Moreover, this causes the rise of the sea level which leads to floods in tropical countries.By that, we can understand very clearly that the main causes of this crisis is the humanbeing. And It is our decision to stop or at least reduce the emission just for the sake of our planet our future.
